This has been a long-standing tradition: celebrating Easter in rural communities without a priest, helping people to observe these important days. During Holy Week, the Sa-Fa Family in Ecuador had a meaningful missionary experience.

Easter: let us not turn our backs on migrants
Members of two communities in Madrid have had the privilege of celebrating Easter in San Isidro de Níjar, Almería. For the past 13 years, the Pastoral Ministry has been working alongside the Sisters of Mercy of Charity on projects supporting migrants, and this year we wanted to celebrate Easter with them as well.
Sa-Fa Argentina celebrates Easter
Easter was celebrated in the form of a mission and took place on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Around 60 people took part, including students, former students and accompanying adults, who split into different groups to better support the various areas of the village.
Easter in the tranquillity of a monastery
Near Somo beach, in Santander, lies the small village of Suesa. There, amidst cows, the idyllic landscapes typical of the north and the persistent rain, stands an oasis which, simply by walking through its garden, evokes a sense of peace and serenity: a monastery inhabited by Trinitarian nuns.
Sa-Fa Mission Uruguay
“And there, standing by the cross, hope was our support and our light.” Between Tuesday 31 March and Saturday 4 April, the town of Libertad, in Ciudad del Plata (San José), hosted a new Nazarene Mission that brought together around 60 young people from schools in San Juan, Aguada, Salto, Canelones and San José.
An Easter of service
This year, the third- and fourth-year communities of the Sa-Fa Madrid pastoral group were fortunate enough to spend Easter at the Casa de la Misericordia (in Alcuéscar, Cáceres). It is a house run by the Congregation of the Servants of Mary and the Poor.

On Sunday 22 March, the Aspirancy in Saaba (Burkina Faso) celebrated its patronal feast in honour of St Joseph. The event was attended by the Provincial Brother, numerous brothers from various communities, former aspirants, parents and a large number of the faithful
14th National Meeting of the FFNN – Ecuador
The annual National Meeting of the Nazarene Fraternities of Ecuador was held at the Rivotorto Meeting Centre (near Ambato). On 21 and 22 March, 55 members of the FFNN gathered there. Several brothers and members of the Lago Agrio Fraternity also took part.
Meeting of Nazarene Fraternities – Uruguay
On 21 March, a training meeting for the year 2026 was held in San José de Mayo for members of the Nazarene Fraternities of Uruguay. This year’s chosen theme was entitled “Reflections on Nazareth and our shared charism in the light of the General Chapter.
