On 20 October we officially closed the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the beginning of Brother Gabriel’s mission. About 50 people, Brothers and lay people, made the same pilgrimage as Gabriel: from Belleydoux to Les Bouchoux and Saint-Claude.
On 13 and 14 October, around 100 educators from the Sa-Fa Family’s educational units in Brazil gathered at the Recanto Sagrada Família farm in Brasilia, which has been reopened with improvements and extensions.
Magic in words: each book, a spell to discover. With this motto, the XXV Institutional Book, Art and Culture Fair is being held at the Gabriel Taborin School in Córdoba, Argentina.
Burkina Faso’s Minister of Education officially opened the school year. The event took place in our Gabriel Taborin College, which has about 2800 students in general and vocational education of various grades.
On the 12th and 13th the Fraternities of Santa Maria (Argentina) held a retreat. They were joined by the animation team from Argentina and Brothers Victorino, Juan Carlos and Mamerto. It was an opportunity to live the faith together, following the example of Br. Gabriel.
On 13 October 2024, we celebrated the postulancy entrance ceremony for six pre-postulants: Welson Mynsong, Jeremias Baa, Ezekia Francis, Naveen Kerketta, Josh Toppo and Sachin Tete. The ceremony took place in the main chapel of the Eluru House of Formation, India.
On 11 and 12 October, the first meeting of the “Formation of formators” took place in Sigüenza: 13 lay people and Brothers with the objective of “Accompanying a group of people from the Sa-Fa Family in a process of formation”..
The School for Catechists was held in Madrid on 5 and 6 October. We began the day with a prayer in which we deepened our motto “Growing up to serve”.
From 6 to 8 September the annual retreat of the Nazarene Fraternities of Uruguay was held at the Good Shepherd Retreat House in Florida with the participation of some 40 people.
On the 10th of August, the new space of the Estancia Recanto, the “chacra” Sagrada Familia de Brasilia, was inaugurated, coinciding with the celebration of “Father’s Day”. We had a beautiful Eucharistic celebration with the blessing of the new space and, of course, the traditional “costillas asadas”, a gaucho tradition of barbecue.
