The figure of our Founder is becoming more and more popular in our centre and in our surroundings and, since 2016, we have been celebrating him in a special way. The whole Unit, students, parents, grandparents, relatives, teachers… “We walk with Brother Gabriel”.
Approximately 80 members of the Sa-fa Family in Brazil, including 70 young people and around 10 educators, gathered in the city of Marau, in the north of Rio Grande do Sul, for the Youth Mission. The event took place between 25 and 27 October.
In the city of Ambato, a group of 19 young people are continuing their course, following the plan of vocational encounters started last year. We have celebrated the third meeting, with the motto: “AIR, soft breeze” during the 25th, 26th and 27th of October.
Celebrating the anniversary of a school complex, looking back over a decade… is about remembering, going back to the Source! To blow out our 70 candles is to look in the rear-view mirror of “Foucauld”. It’s about stopping and taking stock of how far we’ve come…
Las Colegiadas, are a sign of our community, they give meaning to, gather and revitalise our educational project. The first Collegiate took place on 26 September 1970: St Juan’s was dressed for the occasion. Today, 54 years later, it is lived with the same joy that Brother Héctor da Rosa and the Physical Education teacher Armando Fernández dreamt of.
On 19 and 20 October a meeting of the Youth of the Sa-Fa Family in the Philippines was held. Eighteen members of the Nazareth Youth, our aspirants and postulants, together with some Brothers participated.
On 13 and 14 October, around 100 educators from the Sa-Fa Family’s educational units in Brazil gathered at the Recanto Sagrada Família farm in Brasilia, which has been reopened with improvements and extensions.
Magic in words: each book, a spell to discover. With this motto, the XXV Institutional Book, Art and Culture Fair is being held at the Gabriel Taborin School in Córdoba, Argentina.
Burkina Faso’s Minister of Education officially opened the school year. The event took place in our Gabriel Taborin College, which has about 2800 students in general and vocational education of various grades.
