Between 29 September and 3 October, thirteen teachers from the schools of the Sa-Fa Family in Spain shared the experience of getting to know the places of the cradle of our Congregation. They had the opportunity to visit the places that generated the religious vocation in Brother Gabriel and which led him to found the Institute of the Brothers of the Holy Family.
This training course complements the training received in previous courses in the course “In the footsteps” and has allowed them to put into images and colours the theory that was worked on in the development of this course. As a summary of the experience of the participants we would like to share the writing that a member of the group, a teacher from Gavá, has left written in the guestbook of the Gabriel Taborin House in Belley.
“When I was told I had to come to Belley, I understood it as an obligation; I didn’t think it would be an immense pleasure. I discovered a wonderful environment and Brother Jota’s wisdom and knowledge made me better understand the many layers of this figure who always accompanies us: Brother Gabriel Taborin (even when he did it in French). Thank you very much Jota for sharing with us so much of your knowledge these days. Best of all have been the companions of this journey that has transformed my perception of family spirit in the Sa-Fa Family. Until now, my relationship with the Sa-Fa was through my schoolmates. Although I knew there were “other Sa-Fa’s” for me they were strange and distant places, almost alien. But now they have names and faces: thanks to Álvaro, Nani, Javi, Julia, Jordi, Aitor, Cris, Isabel, Lorena, Joel, Irene and Minu, for your stories, laughs and all the moments we have spent together during our stay in Belley this week”.
