Presentation of the 39th Chapter – Burkina Faso

On Sunday, 7 December, a much-anticipated meeting of the Brothers of the Lorette Sainte Anne Province in Africa took place in the multipurpose hall of the Lycée Privé Saint Joseph in SAABA. It was also an opportunity for the new provincial administration to greet all the Brothers for the first time since they officially took office.

Brother Honoré OUEDRAOGO was appointed to report on the work of the chapter. The capitulants from the African section of the General Chapter also took turns speaking and giving an overview of the work. Brother Emmanuel spoke on behalf of the Religious Life Identity Commission (one line); Brother Georges spoke on behalf of the Formation and Vocation Commission; Brother Pierre spoke on behalf of the Mission Commission; Brother Honoré spoke on behalf of the Government and Reorganisation Commission; and Brother Julien spoke on behalf of the Property Administration Commission.

About sixty Brothers from all the communities in Burkina Faso and Ghana were able to take part in this fraternal gathering. The lay people who took part in the General Chapter were also there to share their experience with the Brothers. It was also an opportunity to thank the former Provincial Council at the end of their term of office. The day was celebrated in a friendly atmosphere.
