The celebration of the Perpetual Profession of Bro. Vignes (Franklin Prabakaran according to the baptismal certificate) was held with great joy and solemnity in the community of Madurai, marking a significant milestone not only in his personal journey but also in the life of the Institute of the Brothers of the Holy Family. The celebration began at 6:15 PM in a serene and beautifully prepared garden setting, which created a prayerful and festive atmosphere. The gathering included several priests, religious sisters, family members, relatives, well-wishers, Brothers from different communities across India, and aspirants, all united in witnessing this profound commitment.
The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Fr. Arnold Mahesh SDB, who was the main celebrant. In his homily, he emphasized the depth and responsibility of the vows and the vocation of Brotherhood, highlighting the call to live a life of dedication, simplicity, and service in imitation of Christ and in the spirit of the Holy Family.
During the Eucharist, an interruption occurred due to a few drops of rain, asked the assembly to move into the community chapel. This unexpected moment did not diminish the spirit of the celebration; Bro. Antony Arul Raja has received the vows of Bro. Franklin Prabakaran in the name of Superior General.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, a fraternal meal was shared in the garden of the community, fostering a spirit of communion and joy among all present. It was a moment of gratitude and celebration, strengthening the bonds of fraternity within the Institute and with all those who accompanied Bro. Franklin in his journey.
