On 17 July, we celebrated the rite of admission to the novitiate for Pedro Oliveira Kemalandua, a native of Mbanza Kongo (Zaire), and Miguel Vilyengue Maria, a native of Huambo. The celebration took place as part of the preparatory spiritual exercises for the postulants and novices of our community in Huambo. It was a simple ceremony held in the community chapel, attended by the two postulants who have been admitted to the novitiate, the novices who will shortly make their First Religious Profession, some Brothers and an aspirant. Brother Juan Andrés, Superior of the community and Master of Novices, presided over the celebration and presented each of the new novices with a cross, a sign of their initiation into religious life. We congratulate the new novices on this important step in their formation process.
