On 29 November, the Tutti Fratelli group, of which we are a part, organised the annual meeting of Brothers living in Rome. This rich tradition has been repeated every year since 2015. It was held at the Generalate of the De La Salle Brothers. Participation increased again to nearly 100 Brothers from 17 different Congregations. Brother Hugo Cáceres, CFC, offered us a beautiful reflection on “The Culture of Encounter,” with reflections drawn from documents of Pope Francis and five Gospel quotations. Certainly, for the vocation of a religious Brother, practising and promoting this “culture of encounter” is an essential aspect of our charism. Divided into groups by language, we shared the most important insights that the conference had given each of us. In a final session, we all shared the “adjustments” we need to make so that our community meetings can be transformative. A moment of prayer and a fraternal dinner brought to a close an afternoon of rich experience of fraternity.
