During the celebrations for the Feast of the Province of Our Lady of the Assumption, today, 23 August, Brothers Fidel Morejón, Pedro Pablo de Rodrigo, Saturnino Álvarez and Fernando Cob marked their 50th anniversary of religious life as Brothers of the Holy Family. Surrounded by the Brothers of the Province, their families and friends, they renewed their consecration during the Mass, presided over by Monsignor Rafael Cob. The Mass was held to thank the Brothers for their self-sacrificing lives and, above all, to give thanks to the Lord for the faithfulness with which he has sustained them.
At the end of the Mass, the Brothers recalled some important milestones in their lives. Brother Jorge García, Provincial, congratulated them on behalf of the Province and, together with a personal blessing from the Pope, presented them with a candle, a symbol of the mission to which they continue to be called. On behalf of the Congregation and the entire Sa-Fa Family, Brother David Rasero, Vicar General, congratulated the Brothers and thanked them for their dedication, as well as for the Province’s missionary zeal. He encouraged them to continue sharing their mission and charism with the lay members of the Sa-Fa Family. A meal of fellowship and a pleasant time of fraternal togetherness brought this lovely day to a close.
