30 Years of the Gabriel Taborin School- Burkina Faso

The Gabriel Taborin School in Ouagadougou celebrated its 30th anniversary on November 21st with a day dedicated to showcasing the trades its students learn in its classrooms and workshops. It was a day of institutional recognition. Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, the Church, Catholic Education in Burkina Faso, and local businesses were present, all joining the Brothers on this important day. Brother Honoré represented the Provincial Superior and the other Brothers of the Province.

The Ministry representative emphasized: “The EGT is not just a school, but a true crucible of social transformation. This jubilee becomes a time for remembrance and for looking toward the future.” Brother Pascal Rayasé, the Director, highlighted that “This celebration is a concrete expression of Brother Gabriel Taborin’s educational project: to form good citizens for society and Christians for heaven.”

Several speeches highlighted the excellent educational and social development work that this center has offered to society over the years. An exchange of gifts and souvenirs took place, and several artistic performances by the students added vibrancy to the day. Afterwards, attendees visited the various booths where students showcased some of their classroom projects.

Currently, the Taborin School in Ouagadougou is the largest Sa-Fa Family Center worldwide, with over 3,047 students. It is beginning to offer Early Childhood and Primary Education and has plans to establish a Higher Professional Training Center. Congratulations, and may you continue to provide the people of Burkina Faso with this excellent service of education and social transformation!
