On Saturday 27 May, on one of the few sunny days of May 2023, the blessing of the premises of the Casa Alpina Sacra Famiglia took place in Challant Saint Anselme, Aosta. Although it has been in operation for two years, this gesture was intended to underline the importance of having a place where the provincial community can gather for retreats and courses during the hot summer months. The house is managed by the Collegio Sacra Famiglia of Turin and also hosts youth groups and classes during some months of the year. New en-suite rooms have been built and so it is possible to accommodate a total number of about fifty people in double rooms. The parish priest of the communes of Challant Saint Victor and Anselme presided over the blessing. This was followed by a tasty and appreciated “espeto” prepared by the Brescian group “Chèi del Spét” for the approximately 320 participants. The same group financed the grand ‘Gymnasium’, the chapel and the installation of solar panels at the GTCD GABRIEL TABORIN COLLEGE OF DAVAO in Lasang, Philippines.
