On Saturday, the 16th, the Meeting of Brothers and Fraternities of the Uruguay sector was held in Aguada, since it could not be held in San José, as usual, due to the floods that are affecting a good part of the country. It was attended by more than 30 Brothers and Lay members of the Fraternities of Uruguay, under the motto: “Living the Fraternity in a synodal spirit”. The theme was developed by Leonardo Lima, a lay participant in the Synod held in Rome. This was followed by personal work and an exchange in groups where we shared the resonances of the presentation and insisted on “active listening” with the question: “What do we feel we have received from the group in relation to the theme? What conclusions can we draw?
We were joined by Jorge and Patricia from Argentina, general coordinator and member of the coordination team of the Province. The meeting ended with the Eucharist presided by Mgr Fabián Antúnez, Bishop of San José de Mayo, followed by a fraternal agape.
