On the 28th October, in the Gabriel Taborin Gymnasium of the Colegio Sagrada Familia in Buenos Aires, the 5th solidarity concert of the Choirs of the Sa-Fa Schools of Argentina was held. The following choirs took part: Colegio San José de Tandil, with its teacher Jazmín Fernández; Colegio Institución Escuti, Córdoba, with its teacher Claudio Salvadori and Colegio Sagrada Familia de Buenos Aires with its teachers Lena López and Daniel Schneck.
This experience, devised and promoted by Brother Germán Camarero, in addition to sharing the choral-musical richness, promotes the bonds of union between the members of the choirs, strengthening the family spirit that characterises our Sa-Fa family.
The audience was asked to donate non-perishable food for the project “Christmas boxes”, which the school carries out with the whole community, in favour of families in vulnerable situations, being channelled through the parish Caritas organisation.
The concert closed with the three choirs singing together “Sólo le pido a Dios”, lyrics and composition by León Gieco, directed by Prof. Lena López.
The event continued with a toast in the Esquiú hall of the school and the following day a shared lunch in the sports field “La Morenita”.
We thank the Lord for this meeting, which helps us to grow in family spirit and to be in solidarity with the needs of other brothers and sisters who need our help.
