The Province of Our Lady of Loreto-Saint Anne now has a second Brother-Priest. “Humility is the virtue that will enable you to lead a fruitful priesthood.” It was with these words that Bishop Guy Moukassa Sanon of Nouna concluded his homily during the Mass at which he ordained Brother Philippe Sawadogo.
The 55th General Assembly of the Federation of Parents’ Associations of Sa-Fa Schools in Spain (Feampa) took place in Madrid on the weekend of 14 and 15 March. The meeting was attended by representatives of the parents’ associations, headteachers, members of the School Management Team and a number of Brothers.
On 12 April, Divine Mercy Sunday, Brother Cristhian Javier García made his first profession. The Eucharist was presided over by Monsignor Rafael Cob, Bishop of Puyo. The Brother recited the Institute’s traditional formula, adding a few personal words of his own. The vows were received by Brother Fernando Cob, the Provincial Delegate.
As part of the vocational discernment process, a new Vocational Gathering has been held in Ambato, Ecuador. A group of young people who have been on a three-year journey of discovering their vocation took part. The theme guiding the gathering was: “Jesus, life: all or nothing”.
On the evening of 12 April 2026, at 7.00 pm, the community of Eluru witnessed a significant and grace-filled moment when four young postulants—Kiran Raj, Dhirender Kumar, Bilshan Dkhar and Linus Sungoh—entered the novitiate.

For me, Easter in Valladolid is an opportunity to pause, share and experience Holy Week in a more meaningful way. I’ve been going there for a couple of years now, and I always find a welcoming place to spend these days in community
This has been a long-standing tradition: celebrating Easter in rural communities without a priest, helping people to observe these important days. During Holy Week, the Sa-Fa Family in Ecuador had a meaningful missionary experience.
Members of two communities in Madrid have had the privilege of celebrating Easter in San Isidro de Níjar, Almería. For the past 13 years, the Pastoral Ministry has been working alongside the Sisters of Mercy of Charity on projects supporting migrants, and this year we wanted to celebrate Easter with them as well.
Easter was celebrated in the form of a mission and took place on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Around 60 people took part, including students, former students and accompanying adults, who split into different groups to better support the various areas of the village.
