Ordination to the priesthood of Brother Philippe Sawadogo

The Province of Our Lady of Loreto-Saint Anne now has a second Brother-Priest. “Humility is the virtue that will enable you to lead a fruitful priesthood.” It was with these words that Bishop Guy Moukassa Sanon of Nouna concluded his homily during the Mass at which he ordained Brother Philippe Sawadogo.

On 12 April, Divine Mercy Sunday, Brother Cristhian Javier García made his first profession. The Eucharist was presided over by Monsignor Rafael Cob, Bishop of Puyo. The Brother recited the Institute’s traditional formula, adding a few personal words of his own. The vows were received by Brother Fernando Cob, the Provincial Delegate.

Easter was celebrated in the form of a mission and took place on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. Around 60 people took part, including students, former students and accompanying adults, who split into different groups to better support the various areas of the village.
