The 60th anniversary of the presence of the Brothers of the Holy Family in Brazil, starting in Marau, was symbolically commemorated on 23 August 2024 with a celebration dinner at the CTG Sentinelas do Pago. The aim was to bring together the educational and general community of Colégio Gabriel Taborin and FABE Marau, with the presence of the Brothers of the Holy Family from the Brazil sector. The day before, the management team and the Brothers took part in a live radio programme with testimonies about this story. Radio Alvorada in Marau gave us the opportunity to talk about the 60th anniversary of Marau and Brazil.
This rich and significant history began on 13 December 1963, when Brothers Guido Lumini, Júlio Folladosa and Manuel Alves, who came from Uruguay, formed the first community on Brazilian soil. Since then, the Sa-Fa Family has played a fundamental role in education, catechesis and liturgy in its various places of presence.
