The Nazareth Youth Camp and Children’s Outreach Program, held on April 26-27, 2025, at the Gabriel Taborin College of Davao Student Service Center, was a vibrant and spiritually enriching event for both young people and children. The two-day gathering brought together 25 members of the Nazareth Youth and over 100 children from the local community for a time of faith, fellowship, and fun. The program began with uplifting Praise and Worship, setting a joyful and reflective tone for the activities ahead. Through engaging games and interactive sessions, participants built camaraderie while deepening their understanding of the theme, “Youth as Pilgrims of Hope,” which was beautifully expounded by Br. Dindo Gallardo, FSF, in his inspiring input session.
The second day focused on the Children’s Outreach Program, where the Nazareth Youth facilitated catechesis and fun-filled activities for the young attendees. The children eagerly participated in lessons designed to nurture their faith, accompanied by games that brought laughter and excitement. The outreach culminated in a heartwarming food-sharing initiative and fellowship at GKK Immaculate Conception, strengthening the bond between the youth volunteers and the children. This act of service not only provided nourishment but also embodied the spirit of Christian love and community.
The event was a testament to the vitality of youth-led ministry and the importance of nurturing hope in the younger generation. Br. Dindo’s message on being “Pilgrims of Hope” resonated deeply, encouraging the Nazareth Youth to live out their faith with purpose and joy. Meanwhile, the children left with not just happy memories but also seeds of faith planted in their hearts. The success of the program highlighted the power of collaboration, prayer, and service, leaving participants eager for future gatherings that continue to inspire and unite the community in faith and hope.
