Young people of the Sa-Fa Family on mission

Since Saturday 18th, the young people of the Sa-Fa Family from Argentina and Uruguay are on Mission in the Calchaquíes Valleys: More than 40 years of Faith and Encounter. This year, under the motto “Barefoot on the way to meet you”, our mission to the Calchaquíes Valleys continues a tradition that has been transforming lives and communities for more than four decades. Since its inception, this mission has been a space of encounter with God, with others and with the very essence of life. It calls us to divest ourselves of the superficial, to walk lightly, with “open gutters” to receive and transmit divine love, living in hope and in constant movement.

Inspired by the Gospel of Mark 6, 7-9, we seek to embody the call of Jesus to go out to the encounter, carrying only what is essential: our faith, our dedication and our commitment. This gesture of humility and trust impels us to walk at the pace of the people, sharing joys, sorrows, dreams and hopes. Mission is not only a spiritual experience; it is also a commitment to service. Through community activities, moments of prayer and listening, we seek to sow seeds of love and hope in every corner of the Valleys. We invite everyone to accompany us with their prayers and to be part of this living history that continues to be written with faith, dedication and hope. Because walking barefoot is also walking free, light and open to the encounter with the God who integrates us and fills us with life. We continue on our way, in community and with a willing heart!
