In the evocative and historical venue of the Circolo dei Lettori in Turin, the Burkina Table was held today, set up by the Piedmont Region to which the Brothers of the Holy Family were also invited, as well as numerous organisations working in the country. In addition to taking stock of the situation, an update was given on completed and ongoing projects. The intention to continue cooperation in the country, despite the difficulties linked to insecurity, was unanimous on the part of the representatives of the Region and the organisations operating there through their own representatives. Particular attention was paid to the speech by Brother Sylvain Zoungrana, who emphasised that in Burkina there are many signs of hope that help one to look to the future with confidence. Despite the difficulties linked to the unstable situation, much of Burkina lives in peace and the organisation of many initiatives continues. The Brother then emphasised the importance of collaboration here in Piedmont between the various organisations. Connected from Ouagadougou, some representatives of LVIA, CISV and Municipalities for Peace shared the positive news that can be reported from Burkina, although some difficulties remain in the north and east of the country. There was unanimous recognition for the role of the Brothers of the Holy Family in Burkina Faso, partners with the Piedmont Region, the Municipality of Chieri and various associations, in numerous projects implemented and in progress.
