“Lord, you know everything, you know that I love you”. This was the phrase that Bro. Fabián chose as the motto for his perpetual profession celebrated in Ambato on Saturday 20th September 2025
He was accompanied by the Brothers of Ecuador, his parents and brothers and some members of his family, the Fraternity and some teachers from Guaranda. The ceremony was presided over by Mgr Rafael Cob, Bishop of Puyo, and it was Bro. Jorge García, Provincial, who received the vows. The Bishop, in his homily, commented on the Gospel, especially the invitation and question that Jesus asks Peter in John 21:2-13.15-19. Peter, do you love me?
The prostration as a sign of humility, dedication and adoration, and the intercession of the saints in the litanic prayer expressed the generous and total donation of the brother to God, to the Institute and to the Church. The profession, kneeling and signature before the altar testified to the juridical and public commitment of the consecration. The embrace by the Provincial manifested the joyful welcome by the Institute. With the singing: Hasta la locura, te amo Señor sung by all the faithful, after the rite of consecration, we joined in the joy and donation of Br. Fabián
The bread and wine, the constitutions and a picture of the Virgin of Agua Santa offered by the mother of the Brother, began the offertory. At the end of the ceremony some messages of support from the Institute were read out. We highlight the message from the Superior General and the Delegation of India. Brother Fabian thanked the people who had helped him to reach this moment of definitive commitment, from his family and formators to the Brothers in the community where he has lived these years in fraternity.
