From 15 to 17 October, Itapiranga hosted the second edition of the SAFA Network Integration Games (JI-SAFA), this time organised by the Colégio Sagrada Família de Itapiranga. In this edition, the JI-Sa-Fa brought together 250 student-athletes, who competed in different sports, from the five schools that make up the SAFA Network in Brazil: Colégio Sagrada Família de Ibema – PR, Colégio Gabriel Taborin de Marau – RS, Colégio Sagrada Família de Itapiranga – SC, Centro Educacional Sagrada Família Asa Norte and Centro Educacional Sagrada Família Sobradinho, both from Brasília – DF.
According to Raquel Piletti, Principal of Colégio Sagrada Família, Itapiranga was very proud to host the SAFA Network Integration Games. “This second edition exceeded our expectations in terms of participation and enthusiasm. For our school, organising this event reinforces our commitment to the integral formation of students. We’re delighted to see the unity of the schools and the dedication of the students.”
Colégio Sa-Fa from Itapiranga won the trophy for overall champion of the games, followed by Colégio Sa-Fa Asa Norte in second place and Colégio Sa-Fa from Ibema in third place. As well as the games, the programme also included cultural, musical and artistic moments, providing participants with integration and new experiences.
For Amarildo Bolis, Coordinator of the Sa-Fa Brazil Network, this edition of the games consolidated the event within the network. “We were delighted to bring our schools to take part in this event in Itapiranga. We believe that sport builds bridges between institutions and forms better citizens. We are grateful for the partnership and congratulate the organisers on the success of this great Sa-Fa Family sports festival.”
