A group of 20 Uruguayan pilgrims, made up of teachers and directors of Sa-Fa (Salto, San José and Montevideo), visited the Founder’s places in Belley during the month of January. Guided by Brs. Teodoro and Lino, they visited Ars (pilgrim Mass in the Basilica, lunch in La Providence and visit to the medieval city of Pérouges), Belmont, Lyon (visit and lunch at the Charles de Foucauld College). Afternoon visit to Fourvière (a place dear to Bro. Gabriel) and Belley (historical introduction, Gabriel Taborin House, archive, distillery and Bro. Gabriel’s tomb in the cathedral).
During these days they had the opportunity to know many aspects of the life and work of Brother Gabriel and the archives of the Congregation. They also could know the original letters of Br. At the beginning of the pilgrimage, they were received by the Community of Brothers of Madrid and ended in Rome where they visited the House of the General Curia and were received by Brother Superior General, Br.
