On Sunday 19th April 2020, Divine Mercy Sunday, the First Religious Profession of Brothers Clinton Ranasingh, Pavan Kumar, Samuel Baliar Singh and Sunil Victor took place in our Formation House in Eluru (India). The young Brothers come from different states of India (Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh).

The day before, the house was decorated to have a big day of celebration – like the first professions – but with the circumstance that this time there would be neither relatives of the Brothers nor guests because of the situation of the COVID-19. Even so, aspirants, novices and Brothers were up to the task and spent most of the day decorating.

The profession ceremony took place in the morning at 11 am. As the main celebrant, the Superior of the neighbouring community of the Sacred Hearts, accepted the invitation and the challenge to come to our house and celebrate the Eucharist and solemnise the moment. In the same ceremony, some of the Brother Scholastics also renewed their religious vows. Brother Efraim, as Delegate of the Brother Provincial, received the vows in the name of the Institute.

With the fraternal lunch and the wonderful evening cultural programme in the evening, our day ended with a very familiar and very Nazarene character.
