After the Spiritual Exercises during the week of the Octave of Easter, the four Postulants of the House of Formation in Eluru made their official and ritual entrance into the Novitiate.

The four Postulants, Jeral John Marngar, Amit Ekka, John Vienny and Anuj Samad, were admitted to the Novitiate by the Provincial on April 12, 2020, but the celebration of the Rite of Initiation to Consecrated Life took place in the afternoon of April 18; Brother Efraim, as the Delegate of the Provincial in India, conducted the ceremony.

The four new novices were given the “jibba”, a typical garment that we Brothers in India have adopted as a sign of our consecration, as a sign of this new stage. The new novices come from two states of India – Meghalaya and Jharkhand.
