As part of the collaboration between the Brothers of the Holy Family and the Municipality of Chieri (Italy), a town twinned since 2001 with Nanoro (Burkina Faso), a book of short stories entitled “The World of Talking Animals” has been produced.

The project involved some Primary School classes who rewrote the fables of Aesop, Phaedrus and La Fontaine, illustrating them with drawings. Some Secondary students translated them into French and the students of the School of Catechists of Guilghen (Burkina Faso) translated them into Moore.

On June 4, the book was presented to the residents of Chieri with the presence of the Mayor, the Councillors, the Brothers of the Holy Family, the students and teachers.

The collaboration of Brothers Guilghen, coordinated by Brother Jacob Bouda in the translations into Moore of this fable, was greatly appreciated. “Beyond the distances in kilometres and the different cultures, we can feel ourselves neighbours and friends as part of humanity”.
