On Wednesday, August 28, the Eucharist of thanksgiving for the 130th anniversary of the arrival of the Brothers and the opening of the first Holy Family School in Montevideo was celebrated in the Parish of Our Lady of Carmel in Aguada, Montevideo (Uruguay).

The Eucharist was presided over by Cardinal Daniel Sturla (ex-student). In a moving homily the Cardinal recalled the presence of the Congregation in Montevideo and the great contribution made by the Brothers in all these years. In his breviary he always carries the image of Brother Gabriel and the Holy Family that accompany him in his mission.

The presence of the Brothers and of the school’s educational community gave it the adequate framework for this celebration of Thanksgiving. After Mass, a small toast was shared in the classrooms of the school.
