- What do you
have in common?
A particular way of interpreting the
Gospels, of living and proclaiming them, as handed down by Brother
Gabriel.
-
What inspires you?
The desire to truly dedicate ourselves
to God, in a life of prayer, work and brotherhood, in order to be
better able to serve humanity.
-
What is special about your institute?
There is only one way of being a
Brother of the Holy Family: by devoting one's whole life to
witnessing to the Good News, through spreading the word and through
the example we provide.
We can express Brother Gabriel Taborin's charism in many
different situations: as a teacher in the classroom, a catechist for
children, a liturgist in the parish; in general, by being friends
with everyone in our leisure time, with young people, as a person
who will listen and help them, with adults, as someone who
encourages them, and in mission countries, as someone who brings
hope and moral support.
The Brothers go wherever they are
needed to serve others, in accordance with the wishes of our
Founder.
We are all different people, with different gifts and different
tasks, but we are united by our attitude of charity.
"The qualities that
distinguish a true Brother of the Holy Family are an active and
enlightened faith,
willing and total obedience, an intense and
altruistic zeal, profound humility, unwavering purity and,
finally, a love of work, of self-effacement, of
silence."
